Shamira Turner is an actor, musician and performance-maker based in London and represented by Mia Thomson Associates.
She is a founding member of Little Bulb Theatre and has co-devised and performed in the majority of the company’s award-winning shows, including Orpheus, Operation Greenfield, Crocosmia, The Future, and Mountain Music.
Shamira has collaborated with critically-acclaimed award-winning companies: 1927, Theatre Ad Infinitum, The Sleeping Trees, and Camille Boitel/L’Immédiat. She is co-director and producer of She Goat, and performs in their gig theatre shows DoppelDänger and The Undefinable.
Recently Shamira has performed in Chloe and The Colour Catcher by Theatre Ad Infinitum (UK tour), Human Jam at Camden People's Theatre, An Execution by Gemma Brockis/Shunt at CPT, and Brighton Rock by Pilot Theatre and York Theatre Royal.
She Goat's The Undefinable is due to resume touring this Autumn/Winter 2020. [please click link for dates and updates] She Goat seeks to make all their work inherently accessible to visually impaired audiences.
Shamira is passionate about gender-fluidity in performance, cross-gender casting, representations of women onstage, and the integration of live music in theatre, screen, and audio storytelling.
